The extension is the main Salad Tracker dashboard. It reads the earnings and machine data available in your signed-in Salad tab and keeps Free history locally in Chrome.
The monitor runs on each Windows x64 rig with an NVIDIA driver. It collects NVIDIA-reported GPU telemetry and uploads paired readings so the extension can estimate the whole rig’s power and electricity cost.
Chrome supports local testing before a store listing is published. You are installing the extracted folder in Developer mode—not opening the ZIP itself—so Chrome may show a developer-mode warning.
chrome://extensions. Turn on the Developer mode switch in the upper-right corner.manifest.json is visible directly inside it. Do not select the ZIP file or a parent folder containing several projects.For future updates, keep the extracted folder in the same location. Extract the new ZIP into a temporary folder, copy its files over the original folder, then open chrome://extensions and click Reload on the existing Salad Tracker card. Do not remove the card or load the update from a different folder. Use Remove only when you intentionally want to uninstall the unpacked extension; Chrome may clear its local storage, so export anything important first.
One-time Store transition: this build is now pinned to the Chrome Web Store identity. If you installed an older manual ZIP before that identity was added, keep the old card until the new build has refreshed and you have verified your data. Free earnings can be fetched again from Salad for the rolling 30-day window; old local aliases and settings do not automatically merge. Pro cloud history and synced rig names return after signing into the same Tracker account.
A ZIP cannot be installed with a normal one-click web download in Chrome. For a wider beta, publish the same package as an Unlisted Chrome Web Store item after review and share its store URL; anyone with that URL can install it without making the listing searchable.
The current monitor is an unsigned early-test build. Smart App Control may show “blocked an app that may be unsafe,” with no Run anyway option. Confirm that you downloaded the ZIP from this official site, then open Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings and turn Smart App Control off. Windows does not provide a per-app allow button for this block. Keep your other Windows protections on, and turn Smart App Control back on after you stop using this unsigned test build or install a signed update. We are working toward a signed build so this step will not be needed.
